David N. Meyer

David N. Meyer is an Associate Professor in cinema studies at The New School in Manhattan and the Film Editor for the arts monthly BROOKLYN RAIL. He authored The 100 Best Films To Rent You’ve Never Heard Of (St. Martin’s Press, 12th printing) and A Girl and A Gun; The Complete Guide to Film Noir On Video (Avon Books). His most recent book Twenty Thousand Roads: The Ballad of Gram Parsons and His Cosmic American Music (Random House) was chosen by the LA Times as one of the Twenty Best NonFiction Books of the Year, by Rolling Stone as one of the Five Best Books of the Year and by England’s UnCut Magazine as the Music Book of the Year.
